Dr. Brandy Pennington, ND, is the visionary behind Pennington’s Healing Haven and one of the few fully licensed naturopathic physicians serving the Shreveport, Louisiana region. Her professional journey began at world-renowned Bastyr University—often called “the Harvard of natural medicine”—where she completed a rigorous Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Immersed in biochemistry, food science, and therapeutic dietetics, she developed a deep respect for nutrition as the cornerstone of preventive care.
Driven to broaden her healing toolkit, Dr. Pennington remained at Bastyr to earn her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. This four-year, medical-school–level program provided in-depth training in:
